The Sea-Dweller model was first introduced by Rolex in 1967, and was developed alongside the input of extreme depth divers. The Sea-Dweller watch was designed to withstand the extreme pressures, and dark conditions of deep sea diving. The Sea-Dweller, like the Submariner set a new standard in waterproof performance and durability.

Rolex produced the Sea-Dweller 16600, from 1988 to 2008. This pre-owned Sea-Dweller features a 40mm Oystersteel case, and a helium escape valve on the case side. This escape valve allows the watch to tolerate the decompression phase of a deep dive, maintaining its structural integrity and keeping the crystal in place at depths up to 1,220 metres.

The stunning black dial of the Sea-Dweller 16600 is designed for time reading in low-light conditions. The dial features luminescence hour markers and hands, that glow green under low light conditions. The dial is protected by a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal, which adds to the watches durability and clarity. The date is featured at the 3 o'clock position, however the Cyclops lens is not fitted on the Sea-Dweller due to the domed shape of the crystal and complications with high pressure on the crystal.

This pre-owned Rolex Sea-Dweller is powered by the Rolex calibre 3135 movement. This is a self-winding movement that offers exceptional precision and time keeping off the wrist for up to 48 hours.
