JJW presents this pre-owned Rolex GMT-Master II 126720VTNR aka 'Sprite' for sale. This watch continues the GMT-Master legacy in style. The GMT-Master range was introduced in 1955 in collaboration with Pan American World Airways. This watch is designed for international pilots regularly travelling through multiple time zones. The Rolex GMT allows the wearer to track up to 3 time zones using the rotatable bezel and the unique 'GMT hand'.

The Rolex GMT 'Sprite' is a very unique watch due to its configuration and construction. The most obvious difference is the placement of the crown being on the left side of the case rather than the usual right side. This crown configuration is catering for left handed wearers, allowing them to have easier access to adjusting the crown with their dominant hand. With the quick set functionality (date and time adjustment) at the crown, quite sensitive touch is required to adjust between the time and date setting, this can be more awkward to do with your less dominant hand. This is quite a rare feature in the world of watches and showcases Rolex's commitment to innovation.

The GMT-Master II 126720VTNR is nicknamed the 'Sprite' due to its bezel colour combination. The vibrant green and black rotatable ceramic bezel mimics the Sprite branding colours. The colour combination also serves a purpose by separating day and night hours in the secondary time zone. The introduction of the Cerachrom bezel allows for a material that is highly resistant to scratching and fading. 

The black dial on the GMT-Master II 126720VTNR is a stunning deep black in colour and features large, luminous hour markers and hands. The iconic 'Mercedes' hands and the arrow-tipped 24-hour (GMT) hand are coated with Chromalight, are luminescence that glows blue under dark conditions.

Under the hood of the GMT-Master II 'Sprite' is the in-house built Rolex calibre 3285 self-winding movement. An elaborate movement that allows for the incredible multiple time zone tracking. This movement features the Chronergy escapement, which improves energy efficiency and provides a robust power reserve of approximately 70 hours.

This GMT-Master II for sale is fitted with the hard wearing Oyster bracelet, crafted from Rolex's in house alloy Oystersteel. This strap is fitted with the Oysterlock clasp and the Easylink extension system that allows for quick and easy half-link adjustment. The Oysterlock clasp allows for maximum comfort and security when worn.
